J. Goldsborough Bruff

A native of Washington, D.C., Bruff left for California on April 2, 1849 in search of gold and adventure.

Bruff arrived at Lassen's adobe in April of 1850 and resided there for several months. . His journal details his encounters with Peter Lassen and Sashel Woods in the early 1850s.

Bruff was a Freemason.
