Ernest L. Dobrowsky

Brother of Adolph. Goldminer, jeweler, watchmaker, gunsmith. Arrived in Shasta in 1849. First worked as a goldminer. Established Dobrowsky's in 1851, primarily a gunsmith shop. Sold ammunition, manufactured and sold some jewelry, and manufactured, sold, and repaired watches. Married Anna Mary Bystle in 1868. Moved store to Redding in 1880s where it operated until 1991 by a Dobrowsky family member.[1]
