In partnership with Sunset Market, we were able to purchase turkeys at cost for each family (roughly $100 total). In addition, we donated nearly $300 of clothes to needy children in our community–43 kids in 26 families each received new socks (6 per child or nearly 258 pair altogether) and are invited to dine gratis at a future AYCS breakfast. Warm feet and full bellies, what could be better? 

We hope you all have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukah, and whatever holiday you might celebrate. Oh yeah, and a happy new year!

There’s a new tab at the top of the page that reads “wiki.” That will take you to the WesternStarWiki, an online encyclopedia that we’ve recently launched. Its goal is to share, explore, and document the rich history of Western Star Lodge No. 2 and its hometown of Shasta, California.

We’ve folded the information on past masters and Hiram Award recipients into the wiki, so that’s why they’re no longer linked to on the right. But feel free to check out the wiki, we’re continually adding and revising to it.
